The best answer to this question is this:
Just take a few minutes and change just one of the teachings of Jesus Christ. They are unchangeable. Even those who don't like him, there is one thing they can't do - they can't destroy that which he said, neither can they stop it from taking place in the lives of those that are willing to believe those teachings.

Well, I would say that Jesus' teachings were of an eternal nature - in other words, they understood human nature as it is, which does not change from generation to generation. So the teachings apply in every generation.

In Hebrews 13:8 it says Jesus Christ [The Second member of The Godhead] is the same yesterday, today, and forever. The Ten Commandments [not the ten suggestions by the way] is A written idea of who and what God is, and unlike mankind He does NOT change, He does not change His mind, and that's a great thing because its something we can count on like a compass it always points north so also God is in the same place, He is a constant we can count on in A world that is as good as Dead He points us to Jesus who IS "THE WAY" and THE TRUTH, and your ONLY Way out of this grave we are walking in, find out much more free on line bible lessons www.itiswritten.com bible questions www.bibleinfo.com talk to me also wgr88@yahoo.com God bless you.

Why would anyone want to?
Even if you don't accept religion, you can still learn so much from Jesus' teachings. Love your neighbour, do unto others as you would have them do to you, compassion, kindness, helping others.

Dear Friend,
Because he gave us his teachings in the way he did for a reason. And they are as relevant now as they were 2,000 years ago.
You cant adjust them to suit your circumstances, thats not faith.
God Bless
