If your work requires intense concentration and your full attention (and if you're going to do a job well, you should give it your full attention, and you owe that to those for whom you are working) - then how can you bring God into it? How can you find God in these circumstances? It seems like to find God, you need to abandon your mundane activities, but I somehow do not feel this is what God wants.

my father is devoted to god an works at a job assisting the elderly. it says in the bible that serving someone is an act of love(not so plainly said). just that thought should remind you of the blessing that you are giving by doin chores an such. also there is a story of a woman that broke an alabater chest of perfumed oil over jesus' head to honor him. back then that sort of thing was a years worth of wages, so very precious, and she gave it to jesus out of love and to honor him. jesus blessed her for that publicly. i got on a rabbit trail there but try humming a hymn to urself or talk to god silently while working. hes listening and cares what you have to say. that is what i think my father does at his job cause hes definitely not putting god aside while at his job. i have tried this stuff myself and it helps. you can find god anywhere all you have to do is call upon him. just remember that u wouldnt be able to give your full attention to job, chores etc if you werent alive to do so . thats enough, i think, to help anyone find god and thank him for all hes has done and will do for you. i hope this helps you and god bless you.

It's called, "Putting God first."

Little things like starting and ending the day with prayer, and properly observing the Sunday sabbath go a long way.

A mid-day prayer or scripture meditation, and saying "grace" before meals, fills in some other gaps.

Many people use drive time or commuting time to pray.

A daily family faith discussion and/or prayer is always good.

Getting fully involved in the work, worship, sacraments, and devotions of your church pretty much takes care of the rest.

If it's possible to cut down on mundane activities and replace them with prayer, or charitable work, so much the better.

Well,it probably sounds silly :P but if I am doing a boring task,I do it *for * the Lord, and do my very best at it,just like I would do my best on a report for school that was going to be handed in to my professor.

every thing we do we should do whole souled as to Jehovah
in our work we do our best and so please God that doesn't mean that we do not intensely concentrate on the work at hand
