Car audio that plays outside your Car?

I was in New Orleans recently for Mardi Gras and alot of the young guys around there had a speaker system in their cars that plays outside the car but it has the quality as if you were inside the car

It's called an amplified sound system and not just bass but all frequencies. You have to get the right balance for it to sound good, which isn't an easy task as you have to take so much into account - internal volume of car, sound dynamics of the interior and how the acoustical energy is dispersed in a car environment as an example.

I don't know what they are called but thats totaly awsome I need to do that for my car just to agravate the neighbors. anyway I'm sure its just a normal kind of speaker that they put in a car its just higher wattage, so I'd sudjust to look online for high wattage speakers, you can add things like exsternal car speakers or something like that.
