There are times, at least it happens with me, that I feel what am I doing with my life? Is this why I am here ? I am not here in this world just for trifle things.

Yes, I feel the same way you do. I think that there is much more purpse in life than just going to school/work, getting a home, paying, buying stuff, and all the things inbetween(although they are all important). I believe that somehow you are called or told your mission in life in one way or the other at some point. I hear one way of finding out is to cut out all the "noise" and "listen". Perhaps meditation?

This happens to everybody. But one should not feel frustrated , but keep on trying to become better and better . Sometime we may not have any control over our surroundings , then we have to think on a global level rather than on selfish motivation , to have a holistic view on the current situation and be proud of being able to cope up with the mundane demands.

Actually , same thing is happening with me. But the difference is that I know for which task i am here. All of us are here to learn something or the other. It is like science; in which just learning the theory in not enough; but we have to do practicals in order to understand more clearly. The circumstances, which we face ; no matter good or bad, we learn something from them, whether we like it or not. This is very necessary for all of us, for the development of our souls.

Oh yeah, quite a bit actually. Sometimes I think I know what I'm here for, and other times it just seems pointless, like there has to be something greater. I wish I could spend my time being devoted to God, but I feel like I have to work instead, and I get bogged down, and can't find God in my work. I know we're supposed to be able to find God in everything, but sometimes, when your life just seems like mundane stuff, it's hard to see. sigh.

yes. and when you feel like that it means it's time for a change. volunteer for a cause, join the army reserves, go somewhere you've never been before. change your environment, change your perspective.
