Because He came as Spirit and became Human flesh in order to fulfill the plan. Satan tempted Christ and since Jesus became flesh He prayed to our heavenly Father. This was partly to set an example but there is more to it than just that alone and although I do not have all the answers I must say this does not cause my faith to waiver.
Here's hoping there will be a true biblical scholar out there who can explain this to us more fully. Good Luck and don't give up seeking for the answers.

John 1:1 says - - "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God."
Jesus Christ was the word of God manifested in the flesh for God to be able to commune with man. He is not therefore another "God" apart from the Father as most religious people presents it.
I will present it this way: When you are reading an illustrated comic - - you see a man's figure speaking with a baloon on top of him containing his words. Well, suppose the man was God and the balloon on top of him that contains his words was Christ...
Jesus Christ is not another God. He is going to the Father because he comes from the Father. This Word goes back to the source of the Word. And the Word cannot be separated from the source. Clear enough?...i hope so...

you are taking about Jesus in past tense, firstly I want to say, that are you completely wrong Jesus is God from Today,, from yesterday and The God from always. regarding to you question I will say.
It is the way because it is simultaneously God and Man. When uniting our lives to the one of Him, we were united with God. Trust that Jesus will take it to the Father and who all the benefits of being son of God will be his. Being the way, Jesus is our footpath to the Father. Being the truth, it is the reality of all the promises of God. Being the life, he unites his divine life to ours, as much now as eternally.

Jesus did not think and did nor claim he was God, but he believed he was the Messiah, that is, the elected king of Israel, it was 3 centuries later that the Christian institutions, as they became the formal religion of Rome, started claiming Godhood for Jesus, as was the custom for all Roman emperors at that time.

Jesus is not God. He is the Son of God. John 10:36. The Bible is clear and consistent about the relationship of God to Jesus. Jehovah God alone is Almighty. He created the prehuman Jesus directly. Thus, Jesus had a beginning and could never be coequal with God in power or eternity.

Man was created to the likeness of God. Man hasa spirit, soul and body and so does God.
God the Father - Soul
Jesus - Body
Holy Spirit - Spirit
The body of God was being united with His Soul but His Spirit (the Holy Spirit) is still here on earth to help us. At that time the need was for God to be in bodily form for us, so He did that and no we need His Spirit. He's done that too.

Jesus said "Before Abraham, I Am" so those who where listening understood that He said that He is God, since only God is Eternal, thinking that He had blasphemed they took stones to kill Him but, He is God, He passed through them without them harming Him.

I think it's it is a figurative speech. Jews don't speak the name of G-d very much. Bcoz his body is created for Himself and the body says to Him as Father but they're of one essence. By the way, why are you ripping up,not old, but ancient sores? The ecumenical Council of Nicaea solved it by a vote that's so close. about 300 to 2. Yeah, i think Brown has some eye defects.
