Well, they'll be cleaner and have fewer cavities, I suppose.
Use something intended for zits and you won't be disppointed.

I had heard of this, and I tried it (only white toothpaste works). The first time, I was pleasantly surprised. The next time I used it, however, it dried that patch of skin out very badly. And that was just as painful and ugly as the zit. I suppose it is ok if you are in a bind, but for the most part, just find a good face wash (I like the deep cleaning kind with little beads in it) and wash your face twice a day. Maybe get some "zit-zapper" for emergencies.

Also...If you are in a bind on a date or something, applying something cold (ice cube, cold wet towel, can of pop, etc) for a minute in the bathroom reduces the swelling temporarily.

Toothpaste will work sometimes, yes, you've just got to know how to use it.
When you notice that a zit/pimple is forming, (you know, when it gets reddish/sore?), DO NOT use it then. If you use it at this point, the paste will just burn your flesh and leave more of a scar.
But, after you've developed a zit ready to be popped (whitehead), you can put a dab of toothpaste on it before sleeping, and it should dry it out.
It's all about timing.

Toothpaste, .....hmmm, I heard you had to clean your face and not your mouth.....try colgate, it has flouride that the water systems filter out. But as far as your face you need to keep it clean, like wash when you wake up, at lunch if you can (or use an oxy pad, I did), and when you go to sleep.

Seriously, the cleaner you keep your face, (and I know, this hurts, but....) the less makeup you use the better. Try using less makeup and see if your face clears up. If it does, then there you go.....if not, you probably should see a dermatoligist about it, I did and they cleared it up for me.

Us "guys" hope you find a solution, even though I'm female :-) ,,,
like, omfg of course.....

I have never heard of toothpaste working. I used to have pretty bad acne when I was younger...I tried everything. I found that the key was simply not to mess with them. I know it is hard; when you get that dry skin all over that you just want to pick at; but seriously just use a mild soap and leave em alone. It really does work.

sorry to tell ya but "no" it doesnt help, believe me i have tried lots of things for my zits even toothpaste but the tooth paste just makes it worse!!! try using a facial cleanser and wash your face in the morning and before you go to bed, it helps by closing your pores and removing the dirt. i also recommend to go to a pharmasist to go and get a prescription for your zits the #1 thing i recoomend is wash your face with "clean and clrear cleanser" in the morning and before you go to bed and at night apply on some "Panoxle" its a zit cream that work within 2days!!! try not to scracth your zits or that will leave skin pigmetation!!! GOOD LUCK!!!

sometimes it will get rid of the zits and sometimes they won't. if you opt for using it i suggest to dab just a bit or else it will burn and will be even redder than it already is (if it is). but, above all this, i highly recommend put lemon on the zits it really helps a lot especially when you feel your going o get a zit ( when your itchy or it's red) quickly put lemon on the spot and and the zit will never make it to the surface. good luck!!!

Don't do it. It's a waste of time. It will dry out your zits, but also the skin around them, and make them redder and more obvious.
Try a pimple gel. It will be much more effective, plus you can get it tinted so that it doesn't show.

I dont think it works!! It just turned my zit white, which looked even worse and was very hard to cover up.
