Ok so I am pretty sure that this kid likes me... he follows me around and laughs at everything i say (whether its a dumb joke or not) and kinda flirts with me...
and he wants to be my partner for this science project. He is nice and friendly, and I am nice to him, but sometimes he kind of scares me and I dont really like him in that way. Well i dont want to be his partner, but should i say no to him or just suck it up and go along with it? I really dont want to hurt his feelings.
Sometimes i feel kind of bad because he is a geek and nobody really sits with him except for me because i am nice to him. BUT i dont want him to get the wrong message, that i like him in "that" way...
what should i do?

I think you should tell him off that you are just treating him as a friend and not boyfriend so that he won't waste any more time thinking he has a chance on you. Better tell him the truth b4 is too late bcos i think the later you tell him the more hurt he will feel later on. If you think that there is no way both of you can be together, then better you be honest with him. Maybe both of you can still be friends. If you don't tell him 'No' then he maybe thought you have feeling for him too. So act fast! Good Luck to you...

Do the science project with him. If anyone else laughs, then just tell them that they're immature.
You could easily just be his friend..and if he gets an impression that you like him, then just tell him at that time that you don't. Simple.
I doubt he'll randomly just come and kiss you, especially since u stated that hes a 'geek'. So in reality there's really nothing to worry about.

Just be his partner. Some people are unfortunate. Awkward, confused, nerdy. Maybe you will learn something about compassion, or about other people. Think how excited he will be. Life is hard on some people. Maybe he feels a lot of pain and lonliness. Make him happy.

i was a trifle geeky myself because of my thick glasses growing up so i really feel for this kid. since he is geeky and ppl make fun of him your niceness to him is like the light of his day so to speak thus his attachment to you. i stuck close to those who did befriend me in my ugly state lol. it made me feel better about myself and thats most likely what your kid is feeling. i would just explain to him that you and him are just freinds and nothin more but if he continues to "flirt" with u then just tell him say look man i dont wanna hurt your feelins but u make me uncomfortable with the way you act with me. i dont know if ur gay or not but i definitely aint and if you cant treat me as a friend only then its time we part company. i hope this helps you cause honesty really is the best policy but there is a way to do it gently and i believe i speak for all the geeks of the world ,formerly one myself, that gentle letdowns are still sad but greatly appreciated.

You have really good heart that you dont wanna hurt his feelings and also wants see to it that it doesnt convey a wrong message.

Obviously you should tell him that you would join him in project but side by side also clarify that your older than him; he would be able to get agirl pretty good than you and all that stuff. He would really enjoy listening to you. Initially he will hesitate but he will agree with you. It's my promise.

I know how you feel. I feel remorese when I tread someone bad but the best thing to do if he ask you to be his partner, tell him that you already found another partner.

if he gets the worng idea just because you ageed to be his partner that's his problem. but it would be nice of you to be nice and be his partner. its just a science project. good karma and all that.
