Can this be done or will it explode? If it can be done, how long do you nuke the egg?

It is very simple to boil an egg in the microwave i do it almost every second morning i love egg salad sandwiches for lunch..take the egg and put it in an empty plastic container like the size of dream whipp..and make sure fill it with water and then put the lid on tight and then put the container in the microwave for 3 minutes on high..you will have to play with the amount of time it will take to cook you egg because microwaves come in different watts..mine is 1000watts and it takes 3 minutes to cook and egg and i like it just a bit wet in the middle not hard and chalky...so have fun

its going to explode because the eggshell will keep all the heat in and it will get super pressured and blow up. you can boil water in the microwave and then drop a room temp egg in it, cover and let sit. 15 min later you have a cooked egg.

A 4 egg cooker by Nordic Ware works perfectly.

Don't do it. It will explode. It will sound like a loud poping noise, It is hard to clean up too. It stinks like crazy. I did it one time and it almost made me sick.
