I would get another vet to come to your house and check on mum to be. Many animals will cease birthing if they are moved. Although most animals will birth without any assistance especially cats, if she has had two still born fully mature? kittens things are NOT going to plan. In a nutshell The kittens should be born within 2-4 hours of each other. Mum should appear interested in her surroundings and it is normal for her to get up and have a drink/eat in the middle of labour. An ultrasound will give you the best indication of how the other kittens are coping but doppler will do the same. If there is no obstruction (vet needs to check this) to the kittens, oxytocin may be indicated if mum is getting tired (vet also needs to do this). Ultimately a caesarian may be the safest option for both the kittens and mum. Hope things start looking up.

I don't know what vet you went to, but that was not sound advice. If she is breathing heavier than normal, and you can see her side muscles clenching, you'll know she is in labor. You can actually see the contractions as they happen by watching her sides tense up. If she has already had kittens (dead or not), she should NOT go more than 4 hours in between kittens (IF SHE IS RELAXED), and not more than an hour in active labor without producing a kitten. If she has stopped her contractions, and it's been more than 4 hours, get her to the vet! Her body can actually stop pushing, and the kittens will not only be trapped inside (meaning that they most certainly will not survive if they are still alive now...), but this can kill your momma kitty too. If it's nighttime where you are, contact an emergency vet, or call your vet if they are available after hours. This is a serious life threatening situation.

If the vet said she will have them in her own time they leave her alone for now. I know you must be worried since she had two that were dead but maybe the others will be born ok. Maybe the others were just premature and that's why they died. Can you still see the others moving inside her? Have you placed your hand upon her stomach and felt the others? If you don't believe or trust your vet call for a second opinion.

When my cat had kittens, she had two babies and then after 2 hours another two. I think as long as it's not very long period of time, it's OK. But to leave her for a day or two or even more... Both kittens and the mom might be in danger. Please, call another vet.

I would wait. The best things come out of nature, right??
You could also get a CATSCAN, get it?!?!?!?!?! I mean it. They can see inside of her and you can see if they are still alive.
You take her to a DIFFERENT vet and see if that vet can do anything. There also medicenes to speed the dilivery up. I hope this helped!
If not, e-mail or IM me.
