As a veterinarian have experience with both. They BOTH bite!! but usually not their owners. They generally dont have health problems except for some dental disease. They break bones easily. They live for about the same time. Their coats take about the same care. They both have a lot of personality for a little dog. They bark slightly differently. What you are asking is a question only you should answer/list. All dogs' good traits and bad are ultimately the result of its owner. Hope you find what you are looking for.

2. No one can tell you what dog is right for you. That depends on your life style, finances, living situation, ect. There is no perfect dog for everyone.
A Pomeranian is going to be a lot more grooming and shedding than a chihuahua. Both breeds can be very cuddly. Training depends a lot on the personality of the dog not just the breed.
If your going to get a dog you have a big decision to make so make it carefully. Good luck and god bless!

The long haired chihuahua is the best of both worlds...it was a cross of the two...very good natured ..just search for a pic anywhere..and you'll fall in love..

I honestly perfer Pomeranians. I have known people that have owned both Pomeranians & Chihuahuas and Pomeranians are better with children. Chihuahuas tend to nip at children, are more tempremental, and they tend to be mean when they are older. Pomeranians tend to have a gentle disposition and they are more affectionate.

I've had my long haired Chihuahua for 4 years
and she is the best dog alive.
Be sure you socialize them (and puppy pad train) as puppies

I've never had either, but I like the Pomeranians. I heard they are yappers.

Pomeranians. Chihuaha's are mean suckers. The smaller they are the louder they are. Pekinese are mean too.
