I am in a relationship for nearly 8 yrs with the same girl. We have had a lot of memories together and we often talk of the next step - marriage. I am a little scared because I am starting to see other women because of my work - it allows and requires me to do a lot of networking. I am starting to find a lot of flaws and annoyances with my current girl. Is this just a phase I am going through or is it something more. How do I know if I am falling out of love?

It could just be a grass is always greener on the other side of the fence thing, or maybe you need to move on. Sometimes when you date someone for a long time you start to feel comfortable and even tho the spark is gone and the relationship doesn't have much, you are afraid to let it go and be alone.

But at the same time, you have been with this girl for a very long time and no one is perfect. There maybe some very attractive girls at your office or sweet ones but can they give you what your girl can. I have made the mistake on a few occasions to break off what i had because i think i could get something better. And 9 times out of 10 the thing you wanted was not as good as the thing you had.

This is a hard question but think about the pros and cons, if your girlfriend is a crazy woman who flys off the handle and does weird things thats one thing. If she wants you to clean more, or seeks out lots of complaments from you all the time, or chews her gum loudly well then maybe you just need to find ways to compromise.

Well if I understand correctly and you two are engaged then I think you're only going through a phase. You are seeing flaws in yourself too.. You're only nervous. Marriage is a big step.. If you're really that worried, talk to her. If she loves you she'll understand that you're scared and chances are.. She is too !

When you stop talking to her as much as you used to and start to talk less about stuff with her.
