I had a phase where i stressed and overly stressed about this issue, i was shedding and thought about different ways to help out the situation, the best thing is treat yourself inside great, drink and eat right, don't hassel your hair too much and don't experiment too much.

It's normal to shed and lose hair in amount to that are a lot if you take counts...some lose upto 150 a day, washing days are worse...but if it's something common and your not noticing thining or balding areas there should be too much concern. sometimes things could factor these changes like diet, stress, hormone change, and sickness so it could just be a phase.

if all is alright and your still concerned check out the dermotologist they may be able to give you a heads up before there is a real big problem. well best of luck.

...girl I know what you mean...I had that problem for over a year now and instead of whinning about it and doing nothing I'm being proactive about it...
1. I started to take multivitamin for my hair's integrity...
2. I just made an appointment to get my thyroids tested...
3. I stick with one brand of shampoo and conditioner that I have used previously and am satisfied with it's performance as opposed to buying everything under the sun because it smells good or it's on sale...
4. I comb my hair from ends to roots and take small sections to start with...don't rake the comb through your hair...and use a big tooth comb to comb hair out..
5. JUNK FOOD is a NO NO...it has no nutritional value and thus works against the good you are trying to do for your body...

find the source of why it is shedding- whether it be stress- etc- there is an otc supplement called biotin for nail and hair growth- u can find it @ your local walgreens, or choice of drugstore. i would also recommend a daily multi-vitamin and maybe even some extra B (specifically for stress). good luck.

How much?

A little bit is normal. If you run your hand through your hair, a few strands will probably come out.
