I am afraid to fall in love because I have been hurt in the past.
It is horrible to give your heart and totally trust someone and have them betray you. It makes a person cautious.
I am still open to love, but am just very cautious. And not sure I will ever totally trust again. Hopefully that will change in time.

For starters... falling hurts. Chances are falling in love can hurt. Some people just aren't willing to gamble on that. No one ever says rise to love, ascending in love.
Love seems to be a state of emotion you can go in and out of. Think of it like being in a shelter during a storm. If you're inside, you're safe and warm. If you're outside, who knows what will happen to you.

I really think it is the fear of being in a vulnerable position. Love makes people soft and fragile. It is like the most beautiful thing in the world but it can also be a very hard thing if someone was to get hurt. So I think the main reason is the fear of being hurt.

True love cant really be withheld..
its very hard to control your feelings after your heart knows what it wants..
but if you'se are really close then all the sudden never see her, then you know why..
because shes scared
