That's flat out against the law.....and if they're carrying a recorder and you don''t give tenancy you may end up losing your property. At least, in most of the Western Nations.
I have to add this: In the United States, if you even ask a person their faith or refer to a faith for a reaction or answer you are going to get into legal problems.

Only if their religion involves something violent or is likely to damage the property. While I might feel like I have more in common with someone who's a Christian, I know that most people aren't and most of them are good people. So unless you're violent or distructive, there's no sense in me denying you tenancy rights.

This was in my real estate class and I realized why its so important to screen or well initially I thought we all have a right and love thy brotheren and thy neighbor but I have a big heart I accept most people good people God says to accompany yourself with good associations we are so nieve I was.
Then again I wouldn't want to own a building and have to make a decision say a Jewish person upstairs and Muslim downstairs on the same day we are remembering 911 or hearing yickkkkkk yickkkk yickkkk after hearing about a bombing on national television praising and glorifying this....I personnally felt a strong desire to evict myself as a tenant once it was my landlord I am Italian raised Catholic but consider myself A Christian Warrior The day we moved in I was asked what my religion was Thank God 4my answer
I was appauled but answered because I had no idea they were muslim and or had a clue about Koran beliefs and well not a big factor in my world as I knew it till 911
While translating the daughter said thanks for not saying you are Jewish and well we never understood untill 911 and heard the Chanting I was so hurt and disgusted but never judged and ill tell you the fear I felt and cries for those poor families of 911 I will never forget anthrax scares and we moved the hell out of there they were good landlords slummy but good kept to themselves but I was fond of the youngest daughter and she and I talked all the time I was basing my decison to leave not because this family personally acted on this crime but because the belief and condonimg of what had occurred was apparent we heard through the walls and strong.
I am raising my children at a different level one of Peace and love and to fight yes strongly for what you believe in on a civil manner not one of secretcy and blowing up of innocent people for a cause. Never to judge not all Arab or Muslims are terrorists I take this question very personal because I lived through it.
Why I take an interest is landlords have a right to screen and not to discriminate but damn well can find other issues use systematic tactics to ensure quality tenants or pray hard have a good heart and turn the other cheek but not many will.
Or 2 deny you they will use other excuses legally.

Yes it would be a good idea. For example Idols are not in the books for Christians, so it might be useful for them to see if their tenants would be idol worshipers or muslims are not allowed to eat pork according to their religion and they may have to consider such things when they have to give out tenancy rights.

It is the law. Sure you should not be descriminated against your religion. Well personally I will not contemplate a tenants religion.
At least that is how it is supposed to be.

Nope, lets move on as a society, religion just keeps separating us further and further. Relgion and law are separate....anyone who doesn't think so should be cut off from society so that they can be further Re-Neducated.
