My parents friend's son, who is a year and a half younger (sophmore in high school) than me recently told a mutal friend of ours that he has a crush on me.

Being the chatty girl she is, she told me :P

I am attracted to him, he's really fun to be around, and he defintly doesn't LOOK a year and a half younger....BUT it's not like i'm going to start a serious relationship with him. That'd be too weird since our parents know eachother so well, and i've known him since I was seven.

This summer, me, him, and some of our other mutual friends are planning a camping trip. NO PARENTS.

would it be wrong to hook up with him???

Well, if you know that you dont want anything serious with him...and you know this for a fact then I would say that you may want to reconsider hooking up with him.

For many reasons. First, you work with him. Second, your parents are friends. Third, if you are already friends then why ruin it with a one night fling?

Keep what ya got... a friendship.

Well, forget wierd. You find someone you really like thats worth ignor8ing the wierd.

Best dates are ones with whom you were friends first.

Parents know each other? Don't make such a big deal about it but dont advertise unless you get serious.

I don't think you should date anybody without at least possibility of something serious.

No parents? No brainer.

Involve parents only if you are close to getting married. In that case, you will have LESS in law head aches than other cases. That is a plus because besides money, hygene, in-laws are the NUMBER 3 cause of divorse.

Infidenilty is number 4.

In the modern world we spend way too much time at work. It is very difficult not to mostly date people you meet at work, assuming your not working for them, when mosr ppl are career ppl. You might want to go slower in terms of actually "consumating the relationship" tho. But getting to know each other better? You may regret not dating him when you are both in substandard relationships.

I repeat, ex-friends make the best lovers. You have a relationship on ALL dimensions. THAT IS THE BEST.

Depends what you mean exactly by "hook up" no offense to you or anything---but if you are planning on "hooking up with him" on that camping trip...I don't know I find that immature. Get to know him better. Don't mess around.

go for it girl! some of the best and longest lasting relationships are with long time friends....if you have known him that long, at least you have some idea of what he is like....just go camping have a good time and see what happens...if you get with him great, if you dont there are always other times.....have fun...good luck

"HOOK UP?"

Doesn't that mean have sex with him?
