I am doing a report.
I would like to get examples of discrimination.
I mean:
1 Specifically, what prompted the discrimination (besides you being black)?
2 What was the situation?
3 Where did it happen (city & state)?
4 When did it happen? I am doing a report about RECENT acts, so please do not respond about what happened in the 60s (not that it is not important--please don't misunderstand me--just that my report is about incidences of bigotry AFTER the year 2000.)
5 What did you DO about it? Did you call the police?
If so, what did THEY do about it? Were the parties involved properly prosecuted?
If not, why do you think they were not?
Also, sorry, this report DOES NOT INCLUDE acts of police brutality--again, not that it is not important, just not what this report is about (why? because I am writing about COMING into conflict, not incidents where there is already a conflict, such as an arrest).
6 Did media properly report on it?
Ok?
Thank you for your stories in advance:

Okay, I was riding a train from Frankfurt to Munich, Germany in April of 2004. I was well-dressed with a coat and tie, pretty unobtrusive. While sitting reading a newspaper(in German, I might add), I was contacted by two plain-clothes policemen and asked for my passport/ID. They then escorted me to the area between the train cars and asked to search my bags for weapons and drugs. I was the only brown-skinned man in the car and there were several punk-rocker types with a face full of pins and needles, ripped clothes and purple and green hair sitting 20 feet away making noise like it was Mardi Gras, but the police never even gave them a second look.
I later asked another tall, well-dressed Black man sitting in the bar car if he noticed a distinct tendency of the German police to single out men of color, and he said to me with a smile: "My friend, they just searched me and I suspect we were the only two on the train. Don't be surprised if it happens to you on a regular basis, that's how they identify suspected drug dealers here: your skin color." This was NOT the first time it happened to me, but it was the last...

Funny, I have to do a research paper on this as well! Remember only acts toward an African American person after knowing the facts of their culture is discrimination! A good point to point out is how people complain about African Americans speaking Ebonics. It actually goes way back to the slave days when African American tribes came up with their own dialect of English to be able to understand each other. IT is based on grammar and structure. Not only did they come up with it but they also did not want their slave masters too understand what they were saying. People today assume African Americans are lazy when they speak their way when actually it is their own dialect of the English language in their culture. Oh I am white but I am doing a research paper for my college course on African Americans and discrimination.

I can't offer you any specifics but I just wanted to offer you this...I don't know OnE black male that hasn't been pulled over by the police. Maybe there should be a "profiling" angle to your research. This is in Cleveland OHio. And if only gets worse in the suburbs.
