Why is it necessary to look outward for causes for all good and bad? When will mankind take responsibility for his actions and stop waiting for a GOD or his son or daughter or whatever to save us/ them ? If God is everywhere is he not part of us also and if "he" is everywhere are not all lifeforms part of GOD? Is not the conception that GOD is a being that is male such a remedial concept also? Is is not totally possible that we as people cannot possibly form a concept to understand what "GOD" is? Could it be that GOD is the universal conciousness that is a part of everything and that we are part of that consciousness...and as far as the beginning of everything why does there have to be a beginning? Could it not be that we and everything just always existed? Is anybody out there on the same page here? Why would GOD if he is a just GOD make it that you need to believe in one particualar religion of else you are cast in a lake of fire at the time of your death..is this not insane

Thus far T-Rex has the best answer...We are as a species being lead down a path of "self-fulfilled prophesy" by 2 billion religious fanatics
(mainly Christians and Muslims) and we can't do a damn ting about it! It is so sad!

bluebootz says"As part of the universal consciousness, we have the ability for individual thought during the time we are in our physical human form. In the human form, we are too focused on our individualness to remember our connectedness" She is so far more advanced than so many of those who answered this question. I commend her for her wisdom and the fact that she is spiritually enlightened enough to understand this. My frinends you need to go beyond the confines of the "dogmatic" aspect of your religion. Jesus was a spiritually enlightened being that was very misunderstood in his time. He was one of the first people who realized his inward divinity. Don't worship Jesus...be like him and realize your own inward divinity...you can also be a vehicle of pure light and love!

As part of the universal consciousness, we have the ability for individual thought during the time we are in our physical human form. In the human form, we are too focused on our individualness to remember our connectedness.
Many people will search for the re-connection with the universal energy, within the confines of religion. They see many others doing the same thing and assume that religion is the way.
Going within ourselves and re-discovering our divinity is an excellent way to quickly realize that we are more than our physical forms. It also cements a stronger foundation for a more connected understanding of our original source of creation.
We cannot experience the different parts of the whole, without looking outward and seeing each persons uniqueness.
Maybe there is no beginning and no ending....it's merely a moment in "human time"....after death maybe we'll do it again, and return in human form to experience another aspect of life.

I hear ya load and clear. You can't make the religious understand this concept that believe their inherent worth come from a God that believes he is a sinner first. This concept takes away man's responsibility to be fully self deterministic. To have real choice it has to comes without consequences not matter what you choose. The indoctrinated religious will never see this point of view.
Everything you say is possible and in my opinion the way it is. Real truth.
The Tao is like a well:
Used but never used up.
It is like the eternal void:
Filled with infinite possibilities.
It is hidden but always present.
I don’t know who gave birth to.
It is older than God.
The Tao doesn't't’t take side; it gives birth to both good and evil. The Master doesn’t take sides; he/she welcomes both saints and sinners.
The Tao is like a bellows: it is empty yet infinitely capable.
The more you use it, the more it produces; the more you talk of it the less you understand.
Hold on to the center…
The Tao is called the Great Mother: empty yet inexhaustible, it gives birth to infinite worlds.
It is always present within you. You can use it any way you want.

The other side of this is, "If the actions of man indicate the divinity within us, why do they perpetrate so much horror on each other?" The truth is, if man does not have a standard to hold to he/she has no boundaries. No boundaries more often than not lead to the concept that any action is acceptable.
Most Christians do not believe out of fear of punishment. The greater message for them is the personal relationship with God and Jesus. If you look closely you will discover that the entire Bible is about taking personal responsiblity for your actions, that's why you can't buy repentance, it's a matter of the heart.

You are blind. You are decieved. You have fully identified yourself with a profile from a 2000 year old book.
For the time is coming when they will no longer have patience for sound teaching, but will cater to their passions and gatheraround themselves teachers who say whatever their ears itch to hear. Yes, they will stop listening to the truth, but will turn aside and follow myths.
God is everywhere. He is omnipresent. Are you, o great divinity?!
God is Jesus. Jesus is God. He already saved us. He isjust patiently waiting for the full number of His flock. If you hear Him, dont harden your heart.
ALL lifeforms, and non lifeforms- all you see; IS created by God.
God is only a part of those who accept Him, through the Messiah, who is Him; Jesus. There is no other way to God. There is no other way.
If you are "hinting" that we are in fact, God, you are very wrong.
Im sorry you dont like that God is male. Nontheless, you are powerless to change it. If it helps you, Wisdom is female.
There is no beginning to God. However there is a beginning to life. God explained all this for you.
Man's ways are as far beneath God's ways- as the earth is below the heavens. Without union with God, you KNOW NOTHING.
Because He says HIS sheep will know HIS voice.
No, it is not insane. And until you submit to the will of GOD, you will not understand ANYTHING. Period. End of discussion. You are pulling hereitcal poop out of your buns.

Here's the thing man. When a child is indoctrinated into a belief
system it's nearly impossible to change his or her way of thinking.
I suppose I was lucky to be raised Catholic. I was taught religion by nuns. I saw that they were all crazy and didn't take them seriously. Became an agnostic at age 11. You're far better off in life if you can effectively apply logic and reason to draw your conclusions. Everyone follows a different path in life. If someone wants to base their actions on superstition it's their business. Just as you and I have chosen to burn in hell.

God is not a part of everything, the universe is His creation. The reason we look to Christ for salvation is that we are sinful and cannot live the life we need to live alone. The difference between my beliefs and your beliefs run deep. You want to be your own god, responsible to no one but yourself, whereas I accept that I'm sinful and desire God to help me do what I cannot. We both have fundamental biases, and they are not reconcilable.
As for the lake of fire, the reason that people are eternally dammed is because when we rebel against God, we are sinning against a being who is infinitely good and infinite punishment is our reward. But we also know that God is perfectly just, and only He will judge who is cast into the fire on the last days.

God is too broad of a concept really...every religion has it's interpretation of the "higher power" and the whole idea is just so complex. To believe or not to believe...that is the question. I'm Agnostic, so I dont really get the whole "GOD" thing...and God is Dog spelled backwards, so....it's all about how people see it.
Ijoshua was said to be the son of god, but he was also a man..a preacher of the wisdom of the universe..he taught his deciples and the people to look within and see God all around us. In our hearts and in our souls.

I hear what you are saying, but I do not agree with it. God is an actual Being that exists outside of ourselves. We are not God, nor do we corporately make up God. He is part of everyone in the sense that He created mankind in His image and likeness - but we lost much of that in the fall. Now we have a soul dead in sin and God paid the price to bring it back to life. But if you refuse that life then only death awaits you in the next life. That is just the way it is no matter how bad people want to get around it. It is not about one particular "religion" - it is about one particular "person" who paid your legal debt. If you refuse His legal payment then you are still on the wrong side of the LAW.

The funny thing is that I see people heading in that direction and others heading backwards. I actually think that those heading the other direction are causing others to look forward. It may be frustrating to put up with now, but in the end it might be the catalyst that gets us were we need to go.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline........Proverbs 1:7....
My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding and if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God..........Proverbs 2:1-5 <><
