The word for dinosaur was created after the King James version was translated, so it makes sense that the word dinosaur isn't in the Bible. However, if the Bible is literally true, they must have lived at the same time as people, and there are mentions of dragons, Leviathan and behemoth in various places. In Job, God tells Job to behold behemoth, the largest of all land animals, with a tail like a cedar.

It's true that dinosaurs were discovered by science only in recent times. And the "behemoth" described in the bible can't be a dinosaur - it specifically refers to a navel, which dinosaurs didn't have.
However it's not unlikely that fossilized bones were unearthed by people in the past. Not knowing what they were, people in bible times could have imagined a creature like a huge mammal, with a navel, rather than a lizard.

There are 2 types of creatures mentioned in the bible that have been proposed to be some type of dinosaur. The leviathan and the behemoth. The leviathan being a sea creature dragon type (living in water) and the behemoth being a very large and strong animal on the earth. There are many versus on these, but I have not studied in great detail to be able to say for sure.

Well some decent answers on this question.
They are right in saying some say the Leviathan and such are supposedly dinos but I do not think so myself.
The Bible does not mention dinos, because dinos were not known to have existed much later after the Bible was written.
And the person who said that dinos were on Noah's Ark. I am a Christian, and well, my momma has always said if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. May God Bless you.

In Job 40 there is a description of an animal called Behemoth that sounds an awful lot like a Dinosaur.

Not very many animals were mentioned by name in the Bible. I don't find the Polar bears, the zebra, or a host of others. Why are you so excited by a bunch of ugly beasts anyway? I am much more excited by living breathing mammals. Have a great time reading a variety of answers. May this week be the best one of your year so far!
Thanks,

You could interpret "and there were giants in the earth" as being the fossils of the saurians being mentioned in th old Testement, but that would start a whole new argument about the Hebrew God's intent.
