Ok, Im having a hard time talking to my girl over the phone, Im more of a guy who likes to talk in person, im not much of a phone person. everytime i wanna call her I hesitate because I don't know what to talk about, I ask her about school and her day but that only lasts about five minutes or so, and its kind of stupid to ask the same thing everytime I call her. I would like some advise on what to talk about with her. Please help.

Talk about things you have in common. For instance, music, movies, places you want to go, things you want to do... etc.

Same problem. I guess you're not a phone person. I always hesitate about calling my bf because i get nervous and dont know what to talk about. You want to talk to them, but dont know what to talk about...And yeah it would be lame to ask the same stuff everytime you call them. I would say call them every other or few days, that way you have more to talk about.

I'm not sure I'm going to be much help, since I always call my husband and he's always like "yea, ok, I'll talk when I get home..." (He hates the fact that he has a cell phone :-(

Sounds like you and him are kind of the same. Maybe ask her out to the park or somewhere close for both of you to meet and that way she gets to spend time with you and you don't have that phone in your hand :-)

Good luck, it sounds just like us.

Ask her a question about something she's interested and let her respond. Say "uh-huh" or "yeah" once in a while, but not too much. If there's a silence, don't fill it in, let her finish conveying what she's trying to say to you. Usually she'll finish her thought and respond with a question (it's now a conversation!). Sometimes silence is golden, but not so much if its more than about 5-6 seconds. That means it's time to say "alright I'll talk to you later".

well, i was having the same trouble when i first started dating my boyfriend....but talk about anything, i feel that randomness is perfect, unexpected and sometimes humorous...write some weird questions down on a sheet of paper. or watch the discovery health channel together, u can watch the weirdest **** there....that always strikes a conversation, talk about cartoons, wrestling...etc

but, last year i had a teacher who told me to stick to the 5 f's : family, faith, fun, friends, future.

talk about movies books computers, tv shows music, your relationship, plan a date! it don't really matter what you talk about it only matters that you do talk! belive me i would just love it for my b/f to call me up and just say hi honey i love you! or just to say hi how was your day! and spend even as little as 15 or 20 min talking about whatever! then say goodbye with a kiss into the phone!

Ask her what she thinks about things. Or mention people you know. Girls love to talk about themselves and gossip and all you have to do is utter a syllable every once in a while so she knows you're still there.

First and foremost, quality conversations over quantity. Just call her and say..." iYou've been on my mind today", " I just wanted to hear your voice" and the typical "How was your day" and elaborate. You just have to CARE! Thats all! Don't make pointless conversation like "How's the weather". That's for strangers.

it isn't bad yo ask about school and her day that lets her vent if she has a bad day. Talk about what you to want to do the next time you do something together. Talk about your day she would like to here about it .Ask what movies, singers, sports, and so on.

Sounds like the 2 of you haven't been together long enough. Talk about whatever you talk about when you are with her.

Tell her how your day was and what you did. Tell her you love her and miss her!
