So, I don't have an answer to your actual question and I sort of hate to be this person, but - dude - you shouldn't eat your wife's lymph node.

I'm not normally such a grammar fascist, but I rarely see such amusing manipulations of written English

Try: "While eating, my wife's lymph node..."

(hope your wife's neck gets better! sorry i have no useful input!)
