Ordained priests have been given the power to forgive sins. The individual however must have true contrition in their heart and a sincere desire to change their sinfullness. From what I understand the person states their sins and the priest forgives them, thereby healing the rupture in the person's relationship with God. There is also grace or spiritual strength that comes from this ritual. Lets face it we humans just have a need to get things off of our chests and clear our consciences to make a fresh start.

None.

Priests/ministers do not have the power to forgive sins. This is from God.

Adding more or less words will not change that.
