Let me give you some back ground, last night my cat, Simba, got up on my bed like usual when I was going to bed. Usually he lays at the foot of my bed, but last night he decided MY pillow was a better option for him, I told him to move and picked him up and placed him on the floor. As soon as I did, he went over to a bunch of papers and started batting them around untill I yelled at him, he meowed and left the room. I turned the light on to see the papers and he had pooped! Rite there on the floor! He never has done this before, so was this out of a sheer temper tantrum? And has anyone else had thier cat react this way? He is 3 years old and I have had him sense August.

The pooping thing is not normal by any chance but also not unheard of. Have you noticed any other odd behavior when he gets upset? Does he hiss at you or spray? Since you have only had him a relatively short time (since he is an adult) I have to wonder what his upbringing was like at his former home. I would first recommend that you take him to the vet to have him completly checked for everything. If everything comes back clean, explain to the vet exactly what happened. He could still be stressed from the move (yes, in adult cats, this is not unheard of) or he could be, indeed, having a little tantrum. Keep a second litter box in your bedroom. He may have had a simple accident. Also remember that anything you have on the floor is fair game and he will likely play w/ them. You might want to consider getting a second, kitten age, cat to keep the older one company.

I hope my advice helped.

He was prolly throwing a fit because you made him move after he was comfortable. That was his way of paying out back. If he doesn't have one yet, get him his own bed. That way he won't be sleeping on your pillows. My 6 month old kitty does the same thing to me, but I move my head around until I'm comfortable. Sometimes it gets to the point where I do have to put him on the floor. All he does to me is meow and go play with our 3 month old kitty. Good Luck.
