WHY do you want to get a tattoo?

There is a reason why you have to be over 18. Getting a tattoo at that age can really be a horror after a few years. The chance that you still think the same about it then you do now, is very small. The chance that you will regret it is huge.
Just be patient. If you still want this one when you are 18, then you can go for the tattoo.

If you find any artist who wants to tattoo you at 13, he is a bad artist with no ethics.

1. you have to be 18 and you wouldn't want to go to a shop that's willing to tattoo a 13 year old because you don't know what other things that they are lax on...

2. I'm Chinese and I answer this question alot re: chinese characters, regardless of your age....If you are Chinese - PLEASE MAKE sure that you actually know your real Chinese name BEFORE getting your tattoo....If you are NOT Chinese - and you decide to do that or if you decide to do the thing where the tattoo artist makes one up for you (which I still don't understand how this is possible) please make sure that you verify that what you're getting tattooed on you is actually what they say it is. I've seen many instances where people get some tattoo of some menu item or some weird phrase on themselves.....it's kind of funny in a mean way....

ah - ic my answer didn't make you happy because you gave me a thumbs down AND emailed me seperately too....haha - welll...if you really want your name tattooed on you then you can go for it at 18....still stand by what I said though...also....are you getting your own name tattooed on yourself because you're afraid you're going to forget it?

That has to be one of the dumbest things I have ever heard. You think you want one now. What happens in 20 to 40 years from now. Your stuck with it for life even it they remove it there is still a scar. I have a 13 yr old, he wants one. My answer is no, not until he moves out, after graduating school. If he were to come home with one before the age of 18. I would find that person who did do it and sue them for everything they had. If it were another kid, the parents would end up in their place. The law is there to protect you. Not for you dumbass to find a way around it.

NEVER get a tattoo at the age of 13. You will change SO much in the next 10 years of life, and you may regret it later.

No reputable tattoo shop would do a tattoo on you without consent. And remember, a tattoo is pretty permanent so you're going to be stuck with it for a looooooong time. I recommend just using temporary stuff so that when you're sick of it, it's gone! And if you love it, you can get it when you're older.

We don't help little children get tattooed here, sorry. Seriously. Wait until you are 18. In five years you will change your mind as to what y ou want tattooed dozens of times.

no, don't do it. No good shop or artist would tattoo you, even with your parents' consent. ALSO, tribals and chinese symbols are very overdone.

your body more so than the mind needs to be a mature 18 years old or your tat will look like crap when you do reach 18.
