I lost 60lbs. after my second daughter was born. I did it by exercising for 30 minutes Mon - Fri. For my diet, I just kept track of my calories each day and kept them under 1500 each day. The only thing I completely eliminated was caffiene.
Good luck!

I don't know what you consider significant or not, but I lost about 15 pounds. Not a lot of weight loss but dang did I ever fit in to a pair of "skinny" jeans. Small portions of food though the day tons of water and green tea. I still ate chocolate and pizza from time to time but just had a little bit. I would run on an elliptical machine 30-60 mins 5 days a week and took one dance class once a week. Also went mountain biking on the weekends (weather permitting). I was getting ready to go to Jamaica for a friends wedding, worked great. Then I has some heath issues and was inactive and not eating property and have gained it all and then some back.

I lost from 140 to 120 mostly by dieting.
Bkfst: Plain bagel and coffee
Lunch: Salmon with a couple of crackers, diet coke. An alternate meal would be tomato soup with a couple of crackers.
Dinner: Fruit or a garden salad.
Once or twice a week, I ate a larger meal but limited the fat and sugars.

I lost 10 kilos (a little more than 20 pounds).
I started power walking for 45 mins each and every day. After going for my walk, which was after work, I would have a small tub of yoghurt for dinner and that was it. I cut back on chocolate and junk food, and that was it. One the weekends, as well as my walk, I did a 45-50 min cardio and weights DVD.
My weight fell off really quickly (I was not "fat" to start with), so I had it easy. It was hard work though.
