Get him a new DVD or Video Game and have it put inside of a Clear Balloon. Most flower shops can do this since they have the supplies and equipment. Make sure you call them first to be sure tho.
It looks really neat and if its dressed up nicely with some more balloons and ribbons it will make a neat looking gift when you surprise him with it.
Dont forget a card. You could make one on your pc and put a picture of you and him on the front...or just of you, whatever you like. Add a nice touch by adding a poem or letter inside.
