We lost our one-year-old HP desktop's restoration DVD. I mean, it's nowhere to be found. Can I buy a restore DVD from HP or the retail chain I bought we from?

yea, it'll cost you about $30. I suggest getting a peer to peer program and downloading a copy of your OS. I Imagine it would be windows XP. Then install it and use the serial from the sticker on your HP. HP usually puts them on the computer case. Then all you'll have to do is go to the HP website and download the drivers for your machine. By the way, I really don't think you could get in trouble for downloading a windows operating system if you have a valid serial number.

You can purchase a restore CD or DVD if you lost the original, its about $20-$30.

I have a link for you, all you need to do is give them the model number and serial number of your computer, so be sure to write this down and have it ready for your call! This info should be on the back of your computer.

You can use the online chat feature or call from this link...

More than likely not...I know I can't. But if they do replace it you're lucky...What the restoration CD actually is, is the Windows Operating System installation disk and they only give those to you when you buy a new computer...You should have made some copies of it like I did....
