Yes, my girlfriend and I tried the one in the hotel I was staying at. Bulan spa in the Emerald Hotel on Ratchadapisek Road. It was okay to me. I had a massage only. She had a massage and a facial done. I think the cost was close to USD 100 for both of us for 2 hours.
My girlfriend lives in Bangkok and I live in the USA and had promised her a spa treatment. I researched it online
www.thaiwebsites.com, in the thai massage section bottom right of the index
And many hotels include a spa in their hotels.
When I thought it out, well, there is this spa, has a nice price but, it is a long walk from the skytrain or the subway. And taking a taxi will take a while. If you can find a hotel very close to the spa or a spa in the hotel you are staying which is good. Then I suggest doing that.
The purpose to me of going to the spa is to be refreshed and revitalized. If you have to sit in traffic or travel a good distance it sort of ruins the whole purpose of the going to the spa. Don't you think?
In checking prices, they all seemed to be in the same price range. And most cater to women with herbs and facials and other treatments. And of course the better hotels will have the better spas.
Good luck.

I live here and I go all the time.
There are many difefrent places in bangkok to go.
so if you want like a full day spa treatment of like EVERYTHING then you will find many spas, there are many every where. You'll see on. There is one where Sukhumvit soi 11 meets Sukhumvit Soi 3.
They have great deals.
There is also health land that is everywhere.
But also like what I do is, I go all over try everywhere out. and massage, there is no need to go to a spa for that, stop by anywhere....it's fun going around thailand trying all the different places and each place has something different to offer. Don't worry, when you are finally in Bangkok you will understand when I say you will find a spa everywhere.

Here's my list of recommended Spa's in Bangkok (if you'll be in the city)...and have the budget for luxury spas:
Shangri-la's CHI Spa
Marriott's Mandara Spa
Pathumwan Princess Tantara Health Spa
Must try is the Traditional Thai Massage (of course! but I rather get this at Wat Pho where the school of traditional thai massage is located -- not a gentle experience but good at 350 Baht for a full body massage) and the body salt scrub or body glow.
FYI, there are a lot of spa-like treatments that are affordable but those are massage parlors while the real spa treatments are quite costly. BUT, whatever suits you.
Enough of urban living and stress and time to pamper yourself, right?!

Yes, but as a man, you don't want to know what happened. But if you are going for clean fun, there are many spa houses/bathes that will take care of you. It will be hard to find one that isn't about sex, but regardless of it, the treatment is worth it. They bathe you and massage the heck out of you. They put you in the steam tub and let all the impurities sweat out. You will enjoy.
Good luck

i am living in Bangkok right now.
i have to be honest that most of the spas shops are the same.
the prices do not really differ much...
and if you walk 2 shops down or up to your left or right, you will find another one... it is as easy as ABC>..
so you really do not have to worry much about looking for one.
the very thing, you should look for is, herbal steam, fullbody scrub(but you have to get naked), aroma oil massage and the traditional thai massage...
it is usually around 2 hours...
we had that in Chiangmai...it was excellent.
give it a try!

I just did the beauty portion, hair and nails, and got massages, but there were some very nice places to go. The only place that I know of offhand was on Ko San Road, on the roof of D&D Inn.
