Well, first of all, the Navy provides nursing to the Marine Corps, the Coast Guard, NOAA, and the Navy; the Army and Air Force have their own nursing programs.
Life will be easier in the Air Force, but you will see more action in the Navy, especially in Africa. The Navy has rotating teams that head into Africa, provide humanitarian aid, then leave on a consistent basis. I'm not sure if the Air Force participates in this, but I've only seen Navy Medical personnel on these assignments usually.
Plus, in the Navy, you have more places that you can be sent to. Just my input.

Dear,
In answer to your question, Trying to decide between Navy Nursing Corps and Air Force Nursing?, I can say you that you might get some help from http://asknursingonline.com
As you described; "I am in a 16-month accelerated BSN program that will be completed in May 2008. I have looked into Navy Nursing already and the recruiter told me that the Navy provides the nurses for all other military branches. It wasn't until I talked to people in the Army & Air Force, that I found out each branch has their own nurses. I checked out both websites and found the Air Force site was very informative whereas the Navy site was somewhat vague (similar to my experience talking with the recruiter). I have always been set on joining the the Navy but now that I found out the Air Force has nursing as well, I am undecided between the two branches. Any advice/insight, pros/cons, or info would be greatly appreciated." I hope it may help you.
Best of Luck :)

The Air Force has many different positions for nursing. The three that i really know are:
Cl inc
Hospital
Aeromedevac
Clinic and hospital are self explanatory. Aeromedevac Nurses fly in planes and pick up patients.(Civilian and Military). The Air Force does all the Patient transport and the DOD. Two nurses and three Med techs (em ts) fly in each mission, with patients ranging from one to sixty. This is a great position if you love to travel. I work with these nurses and they tell me they love it. Any more Q's camezcua9@yahoo.com Oh sorry but i really don't know about the Navy Nurses.

If the possibility of being stationed on a ship at sea for months at a time does not bother you, then go Navy. The restriction on women on combat ships has been lifted so you could be stationed on an aircraft carrier, amphibious assault ship, etc. Their main hospitals are always on oceans (or Great Lakes) so if you are into water sports, the Navy is great. However if you do not want to pack up your apartment and go to sea, then the Air Force is the branch for you. Most bases have a clinic so you have a lot of possibilities for where you get stationed.

i was in the Navy for 9 years, just got out last year, a couple of those years was working with the Airforce on an Airforce base.
i say, go with the Airforce 100% they are being vague for a reason and anyone of the armed forces will tell you want you want to hear just to go in.
Airforce will be better, advancment will be a whole lot better than the Navy ever dreamed and the respect will be better. (my own experience and opinion of course)
and the Navy provides for the Marines also.

My brother was a medic in the Air Force and I visited him in Spain since I was in the Army in Germany at the same time. I could not believe how great they lived. It was like day and night compared to me, but I was not a medic, I was in a combat unit. I think the Air Force is a much better one, You really don't want to be on a ship for months at a time and you don't want to be loaned out to a combat field unit.

If you havent already go to www.af.mil It maybe the same website you have already been to. From experience of being in the Air Force myself, your tech school I believe is at Sheppard AFB Tx., same place as mine for being a crewchief. Then I PDS to March AFB Ca.(reserve base now) and dated a girl from the hospital. She LOVED being a Air Force nurse and her way of life was great also. Nice dorms and chow hall. Chloe-we did call them chow halls, however, it was like a restaurant. ;)--------Oh and a friend of mine, Lance was a medic on the C-9 Nightingale which is a medical transport aircraft. He loved it although he did not stay married long because he was gone most of his career.

Everyone who has been in the military or knows the military - knows that the Air Force is the pampered ones. They have Dining Facilities, not Mess Halls. I'd go with the Air Force if it was me. Also, the advances within the branch is something to consider and that I don't know about.

I wouldn't like the fact that the Navy recruiter lied to me. The Army or the Navy may offer the most for benefits. College funds, ect.
