I have fifteen bites on my shoulder alone. I don't think I will get Ross River virus or malaria or anything but I am wondering if the poison from that many bites so close together could affect my health. I'm not feeling the best today.

Yes, they can make you feel very lethargic. It could be has had an allergic reaction to these bites and seeing a doctor would not be wasting time. I suffered every year with mosquito bites in foreign climes. Now I have to take tablets everyday for hay-fever, the antihistamine works also for all the bites from which I had these reactions. Next time you go on holiday, ensure he takes some antihistamine about three months beforehand. Your doctor will advise when and how much to take.

Maybe. I guess it depends on how you react to the mosquito saliva. I go on a mission trip to rural northern british columbia every year, and we camp out. Last year I got over 60 mosquito bites in a week. They itched like crazy, but didn't make me sick.

Absolutely! Mosquitos- I hate them!!! Depending on who or what they have sucked on before they sucked on you, you could catch all kinds of things! They could pass on any number of things besides the diseases you mentioned above! Not only that- they wake you up in the middle of the night, which could also make you sick from lack of sleep!
