Ahhh... cheesecake

An amazing dessert..choosing a cheesecake is difficult

It all depends on your choices...

Lindy's Cheesecake and Eileen's cheesecake have been rated high for quite some time now. Though they both have amazing varieties, your preference can make it easier.

Eileen's cheescake are amazing. They are loaded with toppings and flavor. I have ordered from them before and I loved how fast it got here and how fresh it was. Most cheescakes there are priced at $59.99 (this is w/ shipping and handling) They offer a variety of advanced cheesecakes including: Eileen's Chocolate Cappucino Cheesecake, Eileen's Marble Cheesecake, and Eileen's Rocky Road Cheesecake.

Lindy's Cheesecake, on the other hand, have also been a hit with many. They scimp on the toppings and are not as original as Eileen's, but their price range is from $40.00 to $45.00 (plus $10.00 for S&A) Their cheaper than Eileen's, but so is the quality.

If you ask me, Eileen's is the way to go. They have great delivery time and amazing cheesecake.

If you want amazing taste and variety, Eileen is a great chose
If you want amazing taste and cheap prices, Lindy is good

If you just can't decide, and are struggling.
Call up the company and ask if they will give out samples.
You will be ready next time and can order a whole cheesecake, and know what you are getting.

Hope this helped

If you want real NY cheesecake the only place to go is to Juniors. That is true cheesecake. You don't go to NY for any of the others. You can find the Cheesecake factory eveywhere now. I didn't know that Eli's was from Chicago, that's new to me, but I find Eli's to be just too overpriced for everything. You can get to Juniors by subway if you want, or you can take a cab.

Junior's makes a nice cheescake, but my favorite is D'Auito's (they're the ones who invented Baby Watson and then sold it to a big company) on 8th ave tween 30 and 31 or maybe Balducci's on 8th ave and 14 st

I personally was really impressed by the Magnolia Bakery's cheesecakes. And I say this despite my negative prejudice against that place as it is really famous for cupcakes (I don't care for cupcakes in general because I find them too sugary).

New York Style Raspberry Cheesecake
Recipe #138057
Wow! Raspberries are my favorite fruit and cheesecake.....oh yummmy....This cheesecake is amazing! It not only makes a beautiful presentation for guests but the taste will have them begging for more, or at least the recipe. Also, DO NOT forget the lemon zest. It adds so much to the amazing flavor of the cheesecake! Prep time includes chill time.

Preheat oven to 350.
In a medium bowl, combine crust ingredients until moistened.
Press into bottom and 1 inch up sides of a 9 inch springform pan. Bake for 8 minutes and cool completely.
Increase oven temperature to 450.
Blend cream cheese and sugar in large bowl on medium high until fluffy, about 5 minutes.
Reduce speed to medium and add eggs and egg yolks 2 at a time, beating until mixed. Tip: Don't beat for too long or it incorporates too much air and the cheesecake will crack.
With mixer on low, mix in sour cream, lemon zest, and vanilla. Mix and pour into crust.
Bake cake for 15 minutes and then reduce oven temperature to 225. Bake an additional 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Turn off oven and open oven door. Cake will not be completely set in center but leave in oven for 30 minutes.
Remove from oven and let sit out for another 2-3 hours until completely cooled.
Cover with plastic wrap and chill overnight in refrigerator.
Remove sides of pan by carefully running a hot knife around the edges.
For topping, melt jam in a saucepan over low heat.
In a bowl, gently toss raspberries with jam until well mixed.
Using a spoon, carefully arrange raspberries over top of cheesecake. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
