Well a hangover is a mild form of withdrawal, so drinking a beer would help. Your body is pretty dehydrated when you are hung over so drink a lot of water even if it makes you puke. There's also a drink called chaser. Best foods? Bland, soft foods like bannanas the morning after.
But here's some other cures:
The Virgin Mary
Mix one can of tomato juice with half a cup of lemon juice, add salt and pepper and drink all in one.
Slippery Sludge
In the middle ages a popular remedy was a combination of bitter almonds and raw eel. This is one I wouldn't fancy, but if you do try it let us know what happened. Are you still with us??
Cardiac Kicker
A double gin, mixed with water and liver salts. Get it down yerrr!!
Cayenne Fizz
You need half a litre of champagne with a sprinkling of cayenne pepper. We advise you to drink this slowly, if only to enjoy it !!
Acetic Eggs
A combination of eggs and vinegar. Quantities depend on how bad you feel, just make sure it goes straight down the hatch.
Chirpie Chicken
Place a raw, unbroken egg yolk in a cup and add liberal quantities of Worcestershire sauce. For maximum effect make sure the egg doesn't break until it slams against the back of your throat. It is claimed that this reduces the effect of nausea.
British Bulldog
A British doctor is adamant that the best cure for a hangover is a large glass of lemon juice and fructose(eg honey) mixed together.
Fizzy Egg
Pour half a bottle of premium beer into glass and mix in one raw egg. Stir until froth levels off.
Jamaican air
1 Shot over proof rum
1 Teaspoon cream
1 Teaspoon Honey
Shake well with ice.
Strain into glass
Green Goddess
Pour a generous serving of creme de menthe into a tall glass, then top it up with soda water.
Railroad
1 Shot of brandy
2 Shots of port
Quater teaspoon sugar
2 Egg yolks
Stir and drink slowly
Dogs Knackers
7 Parts gin
1 part apple juice
Shake well, add ice.
Strain and add two parts orange juice.
H2O
Before falling into bed, drink half a pint of lightly salted water and take two aspirin. Continue drinking lightly salted water every time you wake up during your stretch to restore the fluid balance. Many experts believe that dehydration is a major cause hangovers.
1 Part vermouth
2 Parts absinthe
Half teaspoon of sugar or syrup
2 Egg whites
Captain's Concoction
4 Shots rum
1 Shot of lime juice
Hint of tabasco sauce
Devilish Angel
Take one cup of milk and add to it three teaspoons of caster oil. Now warm the mixture. Season it with salt and pepper and then drink slowly.
Kamikaze Cure
Charter a light aircraft and take it up to one thousand feet. Now point the nose of the plane toward the ground and scream as louldy as possible "KAMIKAZE!!"
Your hangover will be brought to a guaranteed end in just a few seconds !!
Grandmas Guilt trip
Speaks for itself ! Expect a rap on the knuckles but then lot's of TLC.
Mystic Mayhem
Teaspoon
som salts
1 Teaspoon crem of tartar
1 Teaspoon ground ginger
Mix together
Cold Turkey
Let it flow.Yeah that's right chuck your guts up. Can you see those numbers on that LCD alarm clock jumping all over the place, is the room spinning and are you experiencing that awful feeling of knowing your gonna have to clean up in the morning. EMMHH them's the breaks!!

White bread or corn chips and water. The bread or chips absorb the remaining stomach contents, and the water helps to rehydrate and flush the body.
