I weighed myself today after a 60 min cardio workout 30 minutes of strength training and 20 minutes in a sauna. Ate about four hours before that.

First of all, basing your fitness on what the scale reads isn't the greatest way of gauging your progress. If you have been exercising, those 6 pounds might very well be muscle mass, in that case, you have indeed burned fat. Extreme ideas won't help you lose weight; consistency, proper methods and discipline will. Starting with your diet, search "caloric intake" on yahoo, and find out how many calories you are supposed to be consuming in a day based on your age and weight....to lose weight you need to be cutting out at least 500 calories a day. And when you do cut out that 500 calories, make sure the calories you are intaking are healthy foods. Even if you're exercising, you need to be aware of what you're putting in your mouth. Also, cardio is the best way to burn fat. But don't overexhaust your body; the human body progresses in increments. In addition, resistance training is important in balancing your cardio exercises.

Stick to lowering your caloric intake and keep exercising. Also drink green tea - it helps boost your metabolism, and GET ENOUGH SLEEP at least 8 hours a night. That would probably be my most basic piece of advice. A lot of people sabotage their workouts by not getting enough sleep.

GOOD LUCK!!

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Your problem may be that your not eating the fruits, vegtables, juice, and your not suppose to eat junk, chips, suggary juice, candy, fast food, cookies, pasteries( the ones with sweet fillings or the sugar sprinkles) . I think maybe you might not be even exercizing right. When did yoiu gain six pounds? Right after eating?

Uh, could someone please give her an idea that would kill her?

Oh, wait. You're 26? Yep, its about time for you to stop looking like an 18 year old. What is it that makes us so obsessed as a society (especially women) with placing our worth in our outward appearance as percieved by others, anyway?

Oh for crying out loud, why are u so obsessed with it anyways? Your probley gaining muscle. Has your waist size increased? R u on your period and maybe bloated? How bout not freaking out about it, if you are so obsessed with your wt then you have a problem much deeper than 6 pnds.

stress can cause you to gain weight and sudden diet can cause your body to go into shock and hold onto all of the calories and fat that your body gets.
cool off and relax, then your body will know its in no starving danger
