What format are those files in? If it is in DVD format, i don't think it will work with Windows Movie maker. you may have to convert it to formats like mpg or avi or wmv first.

If the files are empty then your convert did not work. What are the extensions to those files? If it is dvd, you should have a VOB, and an IFO. If you really just want to make a simple dvd, then get a mpeg2 encoder, and IFO edit. The mpeg2 encoder will encode the video, and IFO edit will author the dvd. If you need more info go to doom9.net. There you can download IFO edit which is free, and a mpeg2 encoder which is free. Then if you want to edit it up some in windows movie maker, you can. Well, if you really want to make a cool dvd, then they have all the tools to do that too, then you can just avoid windows movie maker all together. Believe me you'll be better off.
