Plenty, but keep in mind that one day, your autistic child will become an autistic adult. Autism is not something that is outgrown. Many autistics become very successful professional adults. Others will need additional support structures in place.
You'll probably have to do a lot of extra teaching for your child.
Simon Baron-Cohen, in his essay "Mindblind" argues that one of the difficulties many autistics have (both children and adults) is that they are unable to conceive of the notion that other people have thoughts and ideas different from their own. As a result, you may discover that you have to do a lot of coaching about how and why people respond to situations in the way they do. An autistic child is likely to not get anything useful from overly simplistic answers, so be prepared to spend a lot of time explaining things to him or her.

I recently watched a program on children with autism. They are working out treatment programs that teach the child how to behave more socially.. It is still a Trial program, but the kids I saw in the show, you could not even tell they were autistic.
