Hi Mytha

The colon. If your colon is bunged up, it can start to cause all sorts of health problems in the body. Eat lots of fruit and veg, include plenty of fiber in your diet and buy a colon cleanse from a health food store or online if necessary. It's also good to get some colonic irrigation. It makes you feel so clean inside and you get the urge to put only good food in your body after you've been cleansed.

1. Drink at least 8 glasses of water, herbal tea or unsweetened juice each day
2. Breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper
3. Eat every two hours, by having healthy snacks in between meals. Eating frequently increases your metabolism.
4. Eat lots of fruit and veg.
5. When having potatoes, rice or pasta, just have a small portion.

1) Eat at least 5 servings of different fruits and vegetables every day. Don't eat any junk/snack type food until you've had at least 5 fruits/vegetables.

2) Stick to whole, unprocessed foods such as whole grains, beans, fruits, vegetables, nuts. As much as you can, try to eat foods that don't have a brand name! So, for example, eat oatmeal (you can buy oats in the bulk bin of most grocery stores) instead of Honey Bunches of Oats.

3) Eliminate partially hydrogenated oil and high-fructose corn syrup completely.

4) Drink a gallon of water instead of soda. If you really want juice, make it a nutritious juice, such as orange juice. Apple and grape juices have very little in the way of nutrients.

5) Minimize animal products, especially fatty ones, as much as possible.

6) Good program and herbs are on herbdoc.com

Best of health to you

Last year, around these times I have been diagnosed with a high colon-cancer risk by my physician and he told me that it would be a good idea to have a colon cleanse. When I asked him what would be the best way to have a colon cleanse he told me that there were many methods but he preferred something called bowtrol over the others because of his personal experience with the method. He told me that he used it himself and had really been happy with it.

He told me that he actually didn't have the permission to recommend the method because it was not on the list of "contracted" medications of his practice but as he was a family friend he recommended it not as a doctor but as a personal friend to me.

So when someone who is your doctor and your friend recommends you something, you go ahead and try it, so I did.

I applied a 6 months cure with bowtrol and went to have myself checked up every month. My doctor said that the progress was visible and in 6 months, probably there would be no need to worry about cancer for a long time anymore because every out-of-system thing in my colon was getting dumped out.

I had a little discomfort when using the product, because I had to go to the toilet more than usual but other than that everything was fine. So I recommend bowtrol for colon cleansing to anybody I meet ever since.

Cut down on red meats, eat high fiber and Try Vitamin C therapy. A few years ago a cancer researcher came out with a paper saying that the best cancer and infection fighter as yet found was Interferon, but, at the time, it cost $15,000 a gram. The good part was that Interferon was a product of the natural breakdown of Vitamin C in your system. Shortly after that paper came out the FDA tried to make Vit C by prescription only. Guess why? The FDA says that the RDA for Vit C is 64 mg a day, just enough to prevent scurvy. Linus Pauling, who got a Nobel Prize for his work with Vit C and a second Nobel Prize for organic chemistry, said 1000 mg a day as a minimum and 2000 mg a day if you are sick. On a personal note, I was sick twice a year, for 2 weeks at a time, for 20 years, and was flat on my back for at least a week each time. To this day the doctors have no idea what the problem was. After I gave up on the doctors I tried Vit C. I took enough to keep from being sick and just below too much to get diarrhea. It followed a bell curve over 2 weeks with a peak at 40,000 mg a day – about 300,000 over the 2 weeks. I was not sick for those 2 weeks and after a couple of years of that I have not been sick since. I did not dissolve my kidneys, as some doctors said would happen. I did not get any calcium build up or stones and did not dissolve my cones or solidify my joints. Try it, but drink a lot of water – Vit C is a natural diuretic.

Hi. Since you asked in the cancer section, I'm going to assume that you need a cancer-related answer. In dealing with cancer, getting all the old crap (pun intended) out of your system is absolutely important--healing cannot take place with poisons and other stressors still in the body.

Coffee enemas are a great way to start. Drink plenty of pure water--not the stuff that comes out of the municipal tap at your house. Turkish rhubarb root and cascara sagrada are natural laxatives that will work wonders for you.

I'm going to broaden the answer and give you link to a film on the whole range of alternative cancer treatment. If this is a concern for you, your time would be well spent watching the film.

This depends on why it is necessary. If it's simple constipation I have had success with good old Milk of mag in the recommended dose. There are also over the counter laxatives that your pharmacist can recommend. Be sensible, however. There can be conditions where laxatives are not appropriate and can cause harm. Might want to check with your MD or local clinic to be safe.

after a colon cleanse you must add good flora back into the intestines. You can do this by adding probiotics to your diet

Eat a decent diet with some fiber, the colon will clean itself. Don't believe all the hype, there is nothing special you need to do.
