Unless you are going on business going to NY alone is probably not wise especially considering the difference in the social environment in Alabama and NY. NY is an exciting place with many entertaining things to do and with the majority of people being really wonderful people, but you may not be able to adjust to their mind their own business ways. Once they get to know you they will help you gladly but to begin with they do not seem gregarious. The ones that seem that way quickly probably have a knife in their hand.

if your from alabama i dont think you should drive in NYC... you will get run over! thedrivers here are crazy and if you have never driven in nyc before than dont do it for your first time alone. if you have out of state plates and cant keep up with traffic prepare to get malled

nyc is a wonderful place but you should take someone with you. its a huge city and alot of crazy people, and it can be dangerous for a woman to be by herself. i dont know where alamaba is whether to tell you to drive or fly. myself i would fly its much quicker.

I would take someone with you and it would be better to fly it's pointless to have a car in NY the traffic is a mess and you won't find parking anywhere

Your better off taking a airplane . When you get to NY you need a Cab... NO parking...
