I respect the US Military a great deal...I had relatives that fought in both World Wars (my great-uncle died in WW1), my father was a career military man and I spent 3 years active Army, fought in Desert Storm, and then 9 more years National Guard. I think that most people respect our military, those that don't aren't aware that freedom isn't free.

It's because we've come to a time where people don't remember the blood that was paid for this nations freedom. Where people are unwilling to do what needs to be done for their long term safety and protection because they value their own little comfort zone. And one major thing is people get a really skewed image of the military, thanks to movies and tv. It's just a job in many aspects it takes hard work and deserves much more respect than it gets, and hopefully people will come to realize that promise of sacrifice the men and women give when they put on their uniform.

I have great respect for our military, those who are serving and also those who have served in this and other conflicts. They are indeed very brave men and women.

If someone feels that this is their calling I will not try to discourage them. I do not agree with war or violence, and I do not encourage my children to enlist, but if they felt strongly about their decision I would support them. I suppose it's a bit different when it's your own child. That's just part of being a mother.

those people don't have the cajones to join themselves. They think the War fairy comes and saves us all when the enemies approach. They want the world to be all puppy kisses and pigtails. It's not. The world is an ugly place and it takes special people to make it just a little better.

you're gonna could desire to lose that weight. you're able to be able to desire to be no extra desirable than the optimal requirement to your top once you do the actual. forget approximately what everyone tells you. in case you decide directly to be interior the army, drop the load now. sturdy success. No, you are able to't connect now. you are able to communicate with a recruiter and that i hear some will hook you up with a wellness application yet i've got no verification on that. in my view, i might attempt the recruiter now, that way you have got something to inspire you to drop pounds.

People fear what they don't know, and many people don't know about the military.

The military operates significantly different than civilian life, and it's an environment many people wouldn't be able to tolerate, as they give up basic freedoms in order to protect yours.

To be honest, people have the right to disrespect the military and voice their opinion on it? People in our country have that right, because the blood of our soldier's and sailors from the beginning of our country until now has been spilled to protect that right.

I serve on Active Duty, I've done several combat tours (not only in Iraq) and I'm glad to know that I'm defending the right of someone to spit on me when I come home. Yes, my initial reaction is one of anger to that, but I am quite proud of the fact that I am willing to sacrifice in order to give someone that right. With liberty, you have to take people who side with you, and people who do not.

Why are Afghan parents discouraging their children to join the Taliban?. Why are Iraqi parents discouraging their children to join the Iraqi militias?.

The answer is the same to the question you're asking. It has something to do with the military being used by the ruling elite to pursue their criminal agendas.

The military becomes part of the bully American Government so the everyday American wants no part oft those type of people. I should know. I once was military. I once was part of the problem and now I'm ashamed about that.
