well i would make a list of things that are most important to you and things that you like, like do you like fantasy or mythylogical things, are you a animal lover, have you had your heart broken, etc. think of stuff like this and then take the list to a tatoo parlor and look at the pictures available you can also see if they will design one specifically for you just give them the list see what they can do good luck.

okay. thanks for all of the personal information you gave to give us insight on who you are as a person. here are the suggestions i have based on what you told us:
a coffee mug
a shoe or a boot whicheve suits you more
a phone book, that would be so cool.
a pelican, it's my state bird.
a cammo patch, so your shoulder will be invisible.
seriously. nobody can accurately even start to make suggestions when you have done nothing in the way of actually seeking a good tattoo. i love brainstorming and thinking of new tattoo ideas, it's a hobby of mine and i'm pretty good at it but none of us knows anything about you!

your supposed to get a tattoo of something that means something to you, you shouldnt ask other people,
but if you really cant think of one, get your star sign, you can get the animal, but if its not an animal you would want on you, you can get the symbol which is something else, if you have seen them before

If you are having to ask you should not get anything. Tats are something that are meaningful to you. (at least they should be). I have 7 of them and every one of them tells a story. But whatever you do... do not get flash art. (stuff on the shops wall).

Think about what you like. My friend is a Nintendo Fan Boy and he actually got his whole back of the Super Nintendo, Mario, and two controllers.

If you have to ask people what kind of tatoo you should get, you shouldn't get one at all.
Its on YOUR body, so get what YOU want.
