Actually, quite a few. There's no rule that says you have to reciprocate if you really are not attracted to the person.

Yes, and I nearly had her arrested...

I met her at a dance club; we talked for a little while and I figured out pretty quick she wasn't my type. Even still, for some reason beyond my present logic, I gave her my phone number. She called me, I met with her in a coffee bar near the club, mostly because I had nothing better to do. She very seriously started giving me the creeps after she took the time to follow me home from the coffee bar, after I told her I was expecting company about an hour later.

She wouldn't leave me alone! She kept calling me, showing up on my door step, following me all over town. I stopped answering my phone, stopped answering my door, and isolated myself to a very unhealthy point. Come to think of it, I STILL have that problem.

Eventually, I called one of my friends, and he came over. Not ten minutes after that, she was knocking on my front door. My friend answered the door and told her if she didn't quit bugging me, he was going to break her jaw. It was shortly after that, I had a restraining order set against her, so if she even so much as passed by my doorstep, I could have her arrested for harrassment. She eventually went away, and I haven't seen her in almost ten years.

Yes, there was a girl I went to high school with that knew WAY TOO MUCH about me. She knew when my birthday was, all kinds of stuff from being a proctor in the office. I didn't really even know her, but people were telling me about all the stuff she knew about me, talked about me constantly.
She never did get up the nerve to talk to me until after I had graduated. It was kind of awkward, she was even at this party with a different guy, but left him to talk with me.
She ended up leaving with him and I never talked to her again, it was just weird.

Yes. This can be a very uncomfortable situation, if someone is sending that vibe to you and you are not sending the vibe back. Some people have low self-esteem and chase after people who do not want them.

Yes, I am in that situation right now. i have known this guy for a long time and have never felt attracted to him. he asked me out the other day and i told him that i was not interested in anything w/him besides a friendship and he agreed to that, but he continues to ask me out. he has completely different intentions than i do. i want to tell him to back off, but i dont know how and i dont want to be rude!!!

Yes, he had been after me for around 5 or 6 years, but he was one of my brother's best buddies, and we were good friends and I really valued his friendship and didn't want to spoil that aspect of it so it never came to fruition for him. I lost touch with him about 3 years ago though so.............

Yes and it's a difficult situation to be in.
They like (love) you so you really don't want to hurt their feelings.
It's flattering but hard as you don't know how to let them down easily.
