I'm not sure what to think of this.........?

Question

I've known this girl for about a year now and she knows I like her, lets just call her AM, which is her initials. A couple of days ago I asked AM if she liked me more than a friend and she said " I don't know its hard, I like you as a friend though", I know that probably means that we will JUST be friends, which is cool. However when we did hang out together AM always brought her friend with to hang out, which I was cool with bcuz her friend was cool. Today and I know i'm probably reading too much into this, but AM's friend asked if I could pick her up from school bcuz she forgot her backpack at her house. And so I picked her up and we then hung out for a couple of hours. AM knew we were hanging out which she was ok with. and AM's friend asked me if I liked AM, and I said Kind of. Does the fact that AM's friend ask me to hang out indicate that she likes me or am I reading too much into this. We did have a good time when we hung out today, but I dn't know If she just wanted 2 chill?

I'm not sure, but from what you tell me and from the situation NOW all I can say is that you're reading too much into it
Just because AM's friend asked you if you liked her doesn't mean that AM likes you
BUT you can chill w/ her and be a nice guy, be who you are because that's the person she wants to chill with
and whether you may know it or not, she might fall for you

Not to burst your bubble or anything. She forgot her bag at home and asked you for a lift to pick it up and the you guys just hung out, that is normal you know it doesn't mean she wants to be more than what you are, Your not really her friend your AM's friend and she is Am's friend. Perhaps she wanted to get to know you a little without the others there like a 1 on 1. Don't read too much into it, give it time and let her show more signs as to whether she likes you more or just want to hang out as budies.

I think you should just be friends with AM and try to date the other friend. She's the one that likes you. She asked about AM because she doesnt want to cause problems between the two of them. Which there shouldnt be because AM has already said she's only interested in you as a friend.

You might find out that after dating the other girl that AM might change her mind about the whole thing and realize she really likes you. I wouldnt worry about that so much though. Just date the friend. She'll be nicer to you because she likes you!

This should be a lot less confusing , even if you had made up some fake names, But, to tell you the truth, she does like you, but who knows whether she likes you for you, or just for hanging around with her, and picking her up .
The thing is, to follow your Heart, your heart never lies, and if you think deep down, that AM will be more than jsut a friend if you build on that relationship, then go for AM, but if you don't want to hurt AM's feelings and still go out with her friend , then do so.
and Mind you, I bet that AM isn't happy about the fact that You hang out with ther friend.
It's called Possesiveness, hope you don't become like that.

Sounds like she may be interested and is testing the waters to see how much your really like AM before making her move unless AM put her up to asking, but since you and AM already had the "do you like me more than a friend" conservation I would go with the possibility that AM's friend is interested in you. Ask her out to a movie or lunch and maybe hang out for an afternoon and see where it goes.

Woah..slow down boy. Talk about psycho analyzing things jesus.
A woman can tell within 5 minutes if she is going to do anything with a guy(exceptions are sudden personality/physical changes), and you need relax, and get some confidence. If you like 'AM' when asked if you like 'AM' either say ""Damn right I do!", or "F*** no" Take some charge man. You can do anything you want if you do it with enough authority. Your real problem seems to be that you like to go halfway in so that you can try and get out if things don't go as planned..FYI things never go as planned if you half-*** things in life in general, let alone your horrible relationship life with 'AM'. If you need help with your confidence, ask another question 99.9% of guys are unconfident, so hopefully the .1%(me) will answer it.

I would not read too much into the whole situation. Since she called you the "f" word (friend), I would suspect that a romantic future "ain't gonna happen." This is especially so since she knew you for a year and nothing's progressed. Learn from my mistakes or clinging to lost hope on a relationship that will never happen.

You wanna be friends with her, fine, but don't expect anything to develop. If you're seriously looking for a GF though, I would not hang out with her (or her gal pal) too much. Other girls are usually not to keen on their men being "buddy-buddy" with other women.

it could be your friend AM now is considering you and is having her friend be the connector, or it could be that the friend is interested in you, or the friend has heard of how you told AM you liked her and now is just into it for gossip and wants to see if you're right for AM

AM's buddy likes you.. she has gotten to know you from being AM's friend.. Sorry to tell you but AM isnt that into you so I am sure that she let her friend know that she would be okay with her dating you or getting serious with you. If you like her friend.. go for it..
