Sit in a chair. Place your hands on your knees. Breath slowly but deeply. It's kind of like meditating, but you want to transfer your headache to your knees by thinking it. Sitting in the dark and listening to soothing music might help. If you have a banana, chamomile tea, warm milk, honey, oatmeal, almonds, flaxseeds, whole wheat bread, or some turkey, eat one of these. They all contain sleep inducers. If you have a good book to get absorbed into, read it. It will take your mind off your pain. I hope you feel better soon.

To relieve pressure eat a little horseradish it will clean out the drainage.
normal - Much pain is from muscles below is an example of what may help (based on headaches).
Begin with a couple swigs of molasses or a couple of bananas (natural muscle relaxers) daily - magnesium (which regulates many things in the body) and potassium (a needed building block for muscles).
Drink at least 1/2 gallons of water per day. Running a body low on water is like running a car low on oil is the analogy the head of neurology at UCDavis told my husband about 10 years ago.
Now to the cause - muscles - your back, neck shoulders and head have tender spots. They are knots in the fibers of the muscles called trigger points. It makes the muscles tight which makes them press on nerves and other things causing the pain.
The cure - start with a professional massage, you will also want to go back over any place you can get to 6-12 times per session up to 6 times per day rubbing (or lightly scratching on your head) every where that is tender until the knots go away. The place where the skull connects to the spine press up under the edge of the skull (to get to those muscles).
For more information read The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies. It teaches what to do and where the pain comes from.

Treat it as you would a tension headache, calming down helps and medication for tension headache may help, headaches from crying would logically be caused by the way your muscles in your head neck and face tensed up, massage and relaxation can help for some. I've got these before too, I also suffer from terrible migraines that are difficult to treat even by a doctor.

Oh, better press your fingertips with your fingernails. That is acupressure. But then, the headache is a sign that you are releasing carbondioxide. Just press your fingertips. Also, everytime you have headache or dizziness, lying down is not advisable. Simply sit down and press your fingertips. Then drink lukewarm water. Also, fan yourself. Don't use sleeping pills. Just pray and before you know it, you're already asleep.
I hope you're ok now. Have a nice day and GOD BLESS US ALL.

It's normal to have a really bad headache after crying. If you don't want to take pills, then you're just going to have to wait until it goes away.Sleeping a little bit might help.

The best thing you can do if you don't want to take any meds is just to lay down in a dark room with a cold wash cloth over your eyes and sleep it off..
That works for me, but I also take Exedrine Migraine if I can't sleep,.....hope this helps you! ♥
