*Ahem*, as a Cincinnatian, I know my wife tends to think that the Mitchell's salons are very good. They are high end, have several locations throughout the City (including Tri County, West Chester, and more), and will do a very good job for you- much better than someone at the makeup counter at the mall. You could get anything else done there that you might want to do as well- hair, manicure, massage, whatever. Good luck on your big day!

This is what my sister did. She went to macys' and had her face done prior to the wedding. She loved the way the girl did her face and hired the mac girl for the day of the wedding. The girl met us at the church the day of,& went with us to the hotel where we dressed. Every time 1 girl was dressed, she did a face for those who wanted make-up. There was the bride, matron, maid, 2 bridesmaids,4 jr.bridesmaids and 2 bell ringers and 1 flower girl. For the 1st 5 she charged $50 a face. The jrs. 14-22 yo was $15 for just lip gloss and a lil' make-up. The latter 7-9 yo just rcvd gloss free of charge. Everyone paid for their own make-up. This was great because our make-up was fresh when the photographer arrived. She rode in the limo with us going back to the church. While in the church she made sure we were all good and she left. We were all on time for the occasion. Girlfriend made $310 for the make-up and $100 in tips for an hour and a half time. Everyone was absolutely Gorgeous. Go to the mall and pick out your fav make-up counter and have it done. Hire that person if he/she did a good job. More than likely they will accept the job, even take off if they have too. The girl said she made more money in that 1 day , than she did working for the whole week.
Good luck & congrats!

i was at a bridal show in dayton ohio and this company called Pearls and a Black Dress was there. They do wedding day makeup and professional makeup all over Ohio.
check them out. also you could do a yahoo search of makeup artistry (thats what that company calls themselves)
a makeup counter is a good idea except i'd be scared they'd do whatever they pleased with the makeup like too red lipstick or too much eyeshadow.

When & where are you getting married?
You have to be careful with some of those mall people. I went to Tri-County & ended up looking like a clown.
When you find a salon you think you might like, go visit, see their work. You might even want to make an appointment with them before your wedding to work out everything so your day will go more smoothly.
This is a jumping of spot. http://www.mywedding.com/wed/cincinnati-makeup.html

I don't live in Cincinnati, but all you have to do is go to a very fine beauty salon in your area, and ask if they could recommend a good makeup artist that could do your makeup in your home. They have those referrals and will give you some names.

Most high end hair salons also offer make up artists, call around and you can find a salon that will do your hair and make up so you won't have to go to seperate places to have it done. Also call around for availabilty on your wedding day and for possible appointments for all of your bridesmaids too. Some places offer deals on whole wedding packages.

You could use a Mary Kay Cosmetics consultant. Just go to www.marykay.com and you will have the option to look for a consultant in your zip code. I am a consultant here in Indiana, and many brides have contacted me about their wedding day makeup, as well as the make up for the bridal party.

Check out Meril Norman, they do a great job. OR call the better quality hair salons/day spas in your area, if they do not offer the artists themselves, they often have people they can reference to you.

I suggest visiting weddinglenox.com and post your request. Their matching system http://www.weddinglenox.com/membersignup1.php will match you up with local vendors with pricing you specified. I tried it and have good result as I only recieved response from vendors according to my request.
One problem I had with my wedding is that it is hard to locate vendors in most website as most likely they group by states and there are too many of them that's too far from me and I have to look at each site to figure out.
The sites I provide above have a easy to use layout to show you pictures, pricing and location in one page plus, you can send out your inquiry for matching vendor to contact you. That save me lots of time to locate the best vendors with the right price.
