Kids these days are so whiny.
Personally, I'm damn grateful that I get to wear the same shoes my great-great-great-great gandfather got when he signed up for service in the Civil War, and I see no reason to retire my 1842 cravat or waistcoat.

Fair clack of the whip!!!!!
Buy the kid new clothes. Keep some of the hand-me downs if they are really good.
Please don't let your son get a hard time at school because of it.
Try to remember what it was like when you where at school and the kids gave you a hard time.
Its good to be practical when recylcling clothes but not at the expense of your son.

Buy him some clothes, they have been handed down 5 generations, thats kind of gross. And the kids come to school with nice, new clothes and he is coming in with clothes from the 1940's it wont go over so well.

Your joking, right? Your waiting for people to come un-glued and tell you what a no good dad you are. Now, if your not joking, get the heck to the store and get that poor kid some clothes he can wear so he isn't made fun of. Kids are cruel and by hell, I would not let my kid be made fun of, if I could afford to buy him clothes.

Time changes things. Children this days are competing with each other. Do you expect your children to wear the grandparents clothing's and mixes around with other children wearing new clothes, how are they going to feel.
You may not see anything wrong with those clothes but your children do. Please feel for them and buy some new clothes and make them happy.
Good Luck

Well, I'm 13. And kids definately would tease me... For example, I used to use a really old cell phone and kids made fun of me because they all had a " Razor " and cooler phones. So I would buy him new clothes just because teasing can really hurt. Even over dumb stuff like that ;)

Ok, take it from a kid's point of view: You have an old brain. If you don't see anything wrong with his clothes, there definitley is. Look at your'e clothes I mean come on! Admit it! Old people are so out of style!
