Anyone have problems with Windows Update?

I recently have problems with Windows Update while running Windows XP Home SV Pk2 I follow their instructions and it will not update, keep getting an error code ending with 046. Is there a way to fix this?

automatic updates sometimes wont work on copy of windows that is not genuine. if i were you just download patches. try searching the net.

There are a couple services that must be running for updates to work.
Right click on My Computer and click Manage.
Expand Service and Applications. Click on Services. Make sure Automatic Updates is started. If not, right click it and select Start. Do the same for Background Intelligent Transfer Service.

This is only one of the common reasons Windows Update wont work. If this wasnt it, resubmit your question.
