I didn't realize it was still so early, and I had the notion of going to bed. So I just took three pills, but I had taken 2 around 7:30 and 1 more around 8:30. Should I be worried?? (It's 10:10 right now.)

I just called a 24 hr pharmacy, and he said not to worry but not to take any more. Thanks for all the quick responses! I'm gonna go lie down and hopefully feel better by morning.

No, you'll be fine. You have nothing to worry about. When I was in pain i took way more then that and i was okay. Just don't take anymore right now. If you are worried drink lots of water to get it out of your system but like i said you have nothing to be worried about.

Where do you live? because where i live they have a 24 hour free phone number where you can talk to a nurse if something is wrong. Do you have anytning like that? It might ease your mind.

See following information and link. It sounds like you should be fine. Just make sure not to keep taking the high doses.

Clinical use
Low doses of ibuprofen (200 mg, and sometimes 400 mg) are available over the counter (OTC) in most countries. Ibuprofen has a dose-dependent duration of action of approximately 4–8 hours, which is longer than suggested by its short half-life. The recommended dose varies with body mass and indication. Generally, the oral dose is 200–400 mg (5–10 mg/kg in children) every 4–6 hours, up to a usual maximum daily dose of 800–1200 mg. Under medical direction, a maximum daily dose of 3200 mg may sometimes be used.

You'll be fine. You shouldn't take that much all the time, but of course you know that. excessive or prolonged use can cause your liver enzymes to be elevated which isn't good so only take the ibuprofen for a short time unless recommended by your doctors. However, as a one time thing it's okay. I'd wait about 12 hours before taking any more doses and only take the smallest effective dose possible.

You should be okay if you do not take anymore. 800 mg is the prescription strength, so you just took the prescription strength and a half of one. I have taken up to 1600 mg in four hours before, but it has been a while since I have done that. I never suffered any negative reactions.

One time should not hurt you. You may have an upset stomach. If you do eat some dry toast and a small glass of milk.
. Just spread the tablets out better tomorrow if you take any more. Get some rest

the max dose for ibuprofen is 1200mg in 24 hour period so as long as you don't take anymore you should be just fine.

this happens to alot of people-especially if you're in alot of pain. because things like motrin and tylenol are over the counter-people think it can't harm them or they can't overdose but you can and the side effects can be catastrophic to your liver and other vital organs. i get alot of people into my icu as patients due to tylenol overdose b/c they thought it wouldn't hurt them to take more.

just make sure to avoid taking any other pain meds tonite and get a full nite's rest. drink plenty of water tomorrow and you will be fine

I wouldn't want to be your liver but if you have no symptoms then just don't continue to overdose yourself any more , if you get symptoms go to the emergency clinic to be safe.if I recall correctly that's about like a double dose of a prescribed quantity.

If you are an adult then no but make sure you eat something or drink some milk to coat your stomach so you don't get a tummy ache.
