Ability, Courage, Skill and flat out knowing his stuff
Remember he fought everyone before the influx of MMA as it is today

Fedor is the best and ultimate.In ufc there are many fighters to challenge tim but in pride choice is one.In light heavy weight divison it is definetly shogun better than wandy what i think.

Pedro Rizzo. When I first saw a UFC fight it was him against Tank Abbott and after that fight I was hooked for life! His overall record doesn't do justice to his toughness cause most of his losses came via wars he fought in.

Royce Gracie back when UFC was no gloves, no judges, no weight classes. Just fight till somebody gets knocked out or submits.

For me : ROYCE GRACIE
A purist by heart, but this guy isnt afraid to face anyone, any size, any condition. He wasnt even afraid to fight Mat Hughs, who is probably at his prime and who's skill is alot more well rounded.
Favorite though is Frank Shamrock
