Our male cat is a little over a year old. He plays & sleeps in a nylon tent-like cube. Today, he tried to drag a blanket inside of it with his teeth - it was the funniest thing. I didn't know that cats liked to make beds (like dogs). Anyway, I ended up having to help him get it into the cube and he is enjoying it. =^...^= They really do think and plan - I wonder what they'd say if they could talk!

His "cube" is already on a soft bed, he just wanted the blanket inside the cube.

These are the cubes he loves, we leave one separate which he makes his bed in, and the other two we hook together for play.

I had a cat that would gather up all the stuffed toys (mostly on the small side) we kept for nephews and nieces that would visit and pile them up on one end of the sofa (hardly anyone used it) and then would burrow in and work around till all you could see was her head...many times I'd be looking for her and calling her only to find, after looking closely, that she'd been staring at me all the time I'd been looking. She had a wicked sense of humor. LOL Sure do miss her.

You can never understand a cat. That's what makes them so much fun to watch. They are always doing something funny and different. I haven't personally heard of a cat creating a bed in a tent before, but it doesn't surprise me. My cats drag things around the house in their mouths to put them in their own areas so they know where they are when it's time to play. Cats like to be in warm places, so obviously your cat liked the tent and decided the blanket would work to make it warmer. My cats are lucky, they have huge window ledges with heaters on them that they can sit on, and meanwhile they can get the daily sun to shine down on them.
I have always said that cats are better than dogs for entertainment. Dogs are great to play with, but cats are fun to watch.

My cats love to feel cozy. They always push our blanket around on our bed or couch to make them selves comfortable. I have seen other cats nap in boxes or even plastic bags.

Yeah my cat made himself more than one "bed". He sleeps on my luggage with my boyfriend's old jeans. Also in a cardboard box that I have with stuff in it. lol

well you don't really have a question more like a comment, but if the bed you give him is hard and uncomfortable he would seek for a softer place
