I'm not too sure what a desert island is.
I know what an island is - and I know what a desert is - so how come when we see a beautiful small island with lots of palm trees and grass etc we call it a desert island?
Surely a real desert island would have nothing but sand?
Therefore, I can only presume that the 'desert' bit comes from the word 'deserted'.
But if I'm there with 3 other people it's not deserted anymore!
I got a feeling I'm not going to get to sleep tonight!
