When my boyfriend and I fight and someone hangs up (whether it's him or I hanging up), it always seems like I'm calling him back afterwards. It also seems like it's me appologizing when I call back, no matter who's fault it is. He never calls back after a fight (he'll call me the next day acting like nothing happened). He even once he told me that he liked it when I call back (even though he won't answer the vast majority of the time.) He also thinks it's ok for him to just say "goodbye" then hang up when things get heated, but if I do the same thing, it's a travesty.

1) When he doesn't answer, is that his way of "punishing" me after the fight?
2) Am I just over-reacting about this situation?
3) Should I call back after a fight?

Why not, if you love him and he treats you well. Life is to short to hold grudges and play games you don't want to play. It kind of sounds like a male ego thing, and he's definitely a normal guy where that's concerned!

You're not over-reacting at all! Stop calling him back after an argument, especially if he caused the argument. It's obvious he wants YOU to kiss his *** and apologize even when you're not wrong.

he sounds like a bit of a jerk. plus if you are always fighting, that makes two reasons why you should dump him and find someone who treats you better.. don't sell yourself short!
