I'm 14 and insanely romatic.Me and this girl I like both go to this church where dating is a huge thing. It's generally accepted that dating is only for finding a lifelong companion. If you start dating at like 16, that's considered early. Anyway so I plan on telling this girl I like her and if she liked me back I'd like to start a relationship. But we couldn't really date. Both of our parents would probably say no. How could we maintain a relationship under those conditions? What would make me different from every other guy she knows?

I so totally understand what you are talking about, try being the preacher's daughter. Anyway, you guys could still have a relationship even if you don't go out. You guys could still talk to each other everyday. And maybe, you should ask your parents, be really mature about it though. You never know, they might think that you are mature enought to date. What would make you different from the other guys would be acting yourself.

I agree 14 is young for a relationship, you should be enjoying other things besides dating. You can have a relationship by talking face to face or on the phone, go to a movie, go out to eat or if you 2 have an sports activities in common go to them. Your way to young to even think of getting serious. If your smart, you'll even wait until your around 30 to get married.

Hey there! I am 15, and at my church they dont really like us dating because like you said, it is for marriage. Well, me and this guy i liked met at church camp, and he goes to my church. so we liked eachother and all, and we started dating. BAD IDEA!!! You do not know how easy that brought me down! I went so far back in my Walk, that its not even funny! Church bacame about us instead of God. So we broke up. Now we arent friends anymore and we dont talk, so it is akward at church, and im friends with his sis, so its hard. I think my church was right, dont date until later (as much as i hate to admit it!!) They know wat they are talkin about! as for what she sees in you that isnt in other guys, it is one little word (well, its actually a BIG word) she sees: GOD. I think you guys should remain close friends, and see wat happens. You should talk to your youth pastor and see waht s/he says. or someone at the church you trust. See waht God wants. i was fooled into thinkin my relationship would be Godly, and it started out that way, but it quickly turned the opposite! I hope this helps, and i would encourage you to just be friends!
